Bow River Village: Enhancing the local community

Southern Home Ownership has brought about substantial positive change to Bow and the people that live and work in the area.

Bow River Village, a collection of private and affordable shared-ownership apartments is now open for viewings. Located on the banks of the River Lea in E3, the development offers well appointed and contemporary apartments with excellent travel connections to the rest of the capital.

Working alongside local landowners, businesses, Tower Hamlets Council and the London Legacy Development Corporation, Southern Home Ownership has brought about substantial positive change to Bow and the people that live and work in the area.

As part of the development we have cleaned up the contaminated land that formerly contained derelict buildings, and replaced it with sustainable and affordable housing.

In addition, we’ve reopened a section of the River Lea towpath to pedestrians and built a new Canal Side Park, which everyone in the local area can enjoy. Also, planning permission has been granted for a new pedestrian bridge built over the River Lea, enhancing local connections.

Bow River Village also includes commercial units. This will welcome people from the area into the development and create new employment opportunities for all Bow residents.

Finally, we are proud to say that every affordable Bow River Village home is fully insulated, has energy efficient heating and lighting as well as stylish kitchens, bathrooms and ample storage.
