Communal Spaces: Corner Place

Corner Place is our upcoming development of 62 stylish one, two and three-bedroom apartments, made up of 50 Shared Ownership and 12 private sale units. Located in the heart of East London in Bethnal Green, Corner Place offers slick and stylish apartments made for city living. It has been designed with communal spaces in mind, to bring residents together and contribute to a sense of community.

Play Space
Corner Place will provide around 120 square metres of outdoor play space, for children aged five and under. The proposed playground will feature a soft rubber surface to break those inevitable tumbles and other textured elements suitable for small adventurers, as well as space for hopscotch, timber apparatus and sensory boxes.

Entrance Area
The ‘Corner Place experience’ will begin as soon as you enter the building from either of the on-street entrances. The internal reception area will be a spacious, well-lit and welcoming space where residents will check their mailboxes and mingle in the proposed lounge area. This space will be easily accessible and navigable for wheelchair users and at least one eight-person wheelchair lift will allow level access to each floor.

Refuse areas
While hardly the most glamorous aspect of any new development, ample refuse storage is essential for a happy and healthy resident experience. Two refuse stores have been proposed at Corner Place, both capacities will be fully in line with the Tower Hamlets Recycling and Waste standards. Refuse stores will also be fully wheelchair accessible with level thresholds and clear turning zones provided.

Cycle storage
Corner Place has been designed in an environmentally conscious way, and will be a car free development. To ensure that every resident has the option to securely store their bicycles, there are two separate cycle stores proposed, with around 72 ‘hook and hang’ bike spaces in total, in line with the TFL cycle store provision requirements. Cycle stores will be located in the basement space, with stairs and a bicycle ramp, or a lift capable of accommodating an adult sized bike.
