Brighton Beach
For a picnic with sea views and ocean sounds, Brighton beach is the perfect spot. It can often get quite busy, but you can also try visiting the beach closer to the Marina, or Hove, which tend to be quieter. Remember to take some cushions or a chair to find ultimate comfort on the pebbled beach.
Pavilion Gardens
If you want a picturesque picnic, the gardens surrounding the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Museum & Art Gallery offer unspoiled grounds with views of the incredible Palace.
Devil’s Dyke
For a fun filled day out, Devil’s Dyke, located in the heart of the South Downs, is a quick getaway from the busy city, and offers breath-taking views. After a picnic, you can explore the surroundings on a National Trust approved walking tour.
St Ann’s Well Garden
St Ann’s Well Garden is situated not far from Hove Seafront and is a unique garden, home to exotic trees and wildlife. The park is also famous for it’s Well, which holds a historic story of murder and intrigue.

The Level
One of the largest public spaces in central Brighton, The Level is a newly restored park featuring play fountains, children’s play areas and a skate park. If you forget to buy picnic supplies, The Level is conveniently located a short walk away from The Laines, central market and local shops.
