Foodie Heaven
Bermondsey is a foodie's paradise! It's known for its street food scene, and there are plenty of options for all tastes and budgets. First up, Maltby Street Market is a must-visit spot and just 9 minutes away from Dockley Apartments. It's a buzzing outdoor market that's open on weekends, and it's packed with food vendors selling everything from oysters to burgers. If you're after a sit-down meal, then check out José. The most authentic tapas bar you’ll find in South London, offering a mouth-watering selection of tapas dishes that change daily, you never know what you’re going to get but, you know it will be worthwhile. They famously don’t take bookings so be sure to get there early to avoid a queue. Luckily, you’ll have a head-start on the crowds, as homes at Dockley Apartments are only a 5-minute walk away.

Art and Culture
Bermondsey is also home to some seriously cool art and culture spots. The White Cube gallery is one of the most recognisable art galleries in London, and it's located right here in Bermondsey. It hosts exhibitions by contemporary artists from all over the world, so there's always something new and exciting to see. If you're a history buff, then the Brunel Museum, just a 13- minute bus ride away, is worth a visit. It's dedicated to the life and work of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the Victorian engineer who designed the Thames Tunnel that runs beneath Bermondsey. You can take a guided tour of the tunnel itself. Warning for those of a nervous disposition – it’s a little bit spooky. 

Nightlife
Bermondsey has a thriving nightlife scene that's perfect for a big night out with friends. The Fourpure Brewing Co. is just one of many gems along the famous Bermondsey beer mile. It offers tours and tastings, and the taproom is a great place to get the night started. It’s A 20-minute walk away from Dockley Apartments, so break up the journey home by stopping into some of the other local hotspots – one for the road!

If you're after a cocktail, then head to Nine Lives. This hidden gem, tucked away in the Victorian basement of No.8 Holyrood St, is packed full of incredible cocktails, serving great vibes & a most importantly a killer soundtrack, the perfect spot to kick off a night of dancing.
