Southern Housing Group – WhatHouse? Award Winners

We are delighted to announce that our parent organisation, Southern Housing Group, was presented with a Gold Award at the recent 2018 WhatHouse? Awards in London.

The WhatHouse? Awards is the most highly-anticipated industry event celebrating the very best in new homes. Now in its 37thyear, the event takes place on an annual basis and attracts all of the major UK housebuilders.

The Gold Award was awarded to Southern Housing Group within the highly competitive “Best Housing Association” category. 

The judges commented that “Southern Housing Group has had another stellar year…The Group has pledged that 60% of its development pipeline (6,400 units to be delivered by 2027) will be affordable”.

The panel also noted that “A private sales arm, Southern Space, and a new PRS subsidiary, Spruce, are both performing well, while Southern is also active across a range of community and charitable initiatives.”
