Spend Easter Weekend in London
Don your best bunny ears and grab a chocolate egg! With Easter fast approaching, we’ve rounded up some of the most fun activities in the Capital going ahead this year. From Easter egg hunts to live reenactments, we’ve got you covered:
1. National Trust Easter Egg Hunts
The National Trust’s much-anticipated Easter Egg adventure trails will be returning across the gardens and parks of London this year. Take a hike in the fresh air while taking part in nature-filled activities. Complete the trail and collect a Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg.
2. Easter Services
Join an Easter weekend service at one of London’s iconic churches or cathedrals: Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, St Martin-in-the-Fields and Southwark Cathedral all host Easter Sunday services open to the public.
3. Kew Gardens
Hop on the District Line and head to Kew Gardens for an Easter Sunday filled with awe-inspiring nature. Follow the delightful trail based on Eric Carle’s ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ featuring sculptures of juicy fruits and a chrysalis along the way, and experience it turning into a beautiful butterfly. Don’t forget to pack Easter treats for the road.
4. Easter Duck Trail
The London Wetland Centre is hosting a very special duck trail for the Easter season and inviting visitors to ‘quack the case’. Guests can pick up a trail card and follow the clues to find the bright yellow ducks hidden across the wetlands.
Watch a free, full-scale 100-person re-enactment of the story of Jesus in Trafalgar Square on Good Friday. Throughout the 90 minute performance there will be splendid costumes and outstanding acting, creating an authentic scene in the famous square, but when it comes to little ones, parental guidance is advised.
