The Flour Pot Bakery is a local gem; a small baking chain with locations dotted around Hove, Brighton and Worthing, all founded by Oliver Hyde, who set out with the desire to “create food that was lovingly made with passion and skill by people who really care”. It’s safe to say that he achieved just that, with bakes covering a range of tastes, from special edition doughnuts that are updated weekly, to the Cinnamon and Orange Morning Bun. If you’re more into making the bakes yourself, The Flour Pot also sells Sourdough starters to help you make your own masterpiece. All of this is located just a short six-minute stroll from our Grand Avenue development in Hove.

Julien Plumart

French patisserie lovers, Julian Plumart is the option for you. Named after the owner, and The Professional Bake Off 2021 finalist himself, you are always going to receive a lovingly created treat. Get ready to be transported to France with decadent eclairs and cakes as well as delicate macaroons of every flavour. Be sure to try the Pistachio éclair, almost certainly one of the best options on the menu. Add this to your Brighton and Hove itinerary, it’s just an eleven-minute drive from Grand Avenue.

Possibly already familiar to those dotted around London and the surrounding areas, but still very deserving of a mention. Gails regularly turns out some of the best edible creations in the baking market.
