Springtime in Hove: Our Top Recommendations
We’ve put together our favourite things to do in the Hove area, so you’ll never be stuck for inspiration on how to spend a weekend this spring.
A stroll along the shore
Hove is located along the beautiful south-east coast of England. On warmer days, local residents can take a stroll along the promenade by the shore, towards the neighbouring Brighton pier. There is a plethora of romantic overlooks and seats, providing some spectacular sunset views.
This café boasts a fantastic selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes, which are always locally sourced by local, artisanal suppliers, producers, growers and farmers of all sizes. This charming Nordic-styled local is the ideal spot to catch up with friends or work remotely.
The Hove Museum, housed in an old villa, features sections dedicated to local history, early movie relics, and modern art. A large portion of the museum is dedicated to children (though it is also amusing for adults), with a wide range of toys on show, including teddy bears, doll’s houses, trains, and tricycles. The museum organises free exhibitions on a regular basis.
BOAT stands for Brighton Open Air Theatre and it’s located in the Hove Green park. Open air theatre is a great experience for everyone, including the little ones, and this new little gem is ideal for enjoying a concert or a play and some fresh air. BOAT doesn’t only bring to mind Greek theatres like Epidaurus, it’s actually just like them, boasting some seriously excellent acoustics.
Passionate about offering the freshest, highest quality sustainable produce from the British Isles, The Little Fish Market offers a relaxed dining experience featuring high quality cuisine and outstanding customer service. The menu is a set taster menu which changes regularly, with each dish featuring for around four to six weeks.
