A Guide to The Lanes – Brighton

Brighton is a city steeped in history and the lanes were once just alleys of a small fishing village, between North Laine and the seafront. Today they are a collection of narrow streets and pathways full of over 300 independent shops, boutiques and eateries in the heart of Brighton. Explore the magic of the lanes at night by fairy light or make a day of shopping around quirky independents and quaint cafes.

Found on Middle Street, Burnt Orange is a Mediterranean-styled restaurant bar that concocts seasonal menus and drinks for you to enjoy from lunch through to the evening. Start with classics like Calamari and Burrata before trying one of their delicious wood-fired mains like the crayfish kofta or the BBQ pork collar.
